It started off as a quest to go ice fishing, but as we drove north there turned out to be less and less snow and the lakes weren’t quite frozen. We did have a certain lake in mind, Blackwater Lake, but due to the 2-wheel drive sedan I’m driving we couldn’t make it up the steep and snowy logging road to get there. Change of plans - we decided to try to fish from a creek we saw on the drive up. It turns out the water in the creek was way too low so we just decided to go exploring instead.
